WALLEYE: Still a few being caught in the pre-spawn. Best spots are Barker Flats, Inlet Point, and across from Coulee Playland. A nice limit came from Midlake on Rookie Point. When cold fronts come, go deeper and drag jigs slowly from about 60 up to 40 feet or try Macks Lure Smile Blades slow.

BASS: Cold fronts have slowed the bite some. Use drop shot system or football head jigs with Hulu Grubs. A few warm days and they will move up, then go to Crank baits 1/4 oz Hotlips or Zoom Brush Hogs

RAINBOW: Fishing has been fair. Plenty of cold weather. Bank fishermen have had fair success using worms and power bait. Trolling use lead core or snap weights down to about 20 feet at 1and 1/2 to 2 miles per hour. Use Apex, trolling flies or needlefish.

CRAPPIE: are just starting to heat up. Try the pond in Steamboat Rock State Park or in Steamboat Bay, around Devil's Punch Bowl Bridge, the bay east of Osborn Bay. This is a good spot for people with small boats.
